I wholeheartedly believe that everyone is capable of creating. I love moving through the process together, sharing stories and studying the figure in clay. Connecting with clay should be a fun experience- for both the first timers and professional artists! My workshops are centered around learning techniques for sculpting, building surface, and gaining confidence in your personal artistic creativity.

Underglazing Demonstration
Saturday, October 18th | 12pm-1pm MST | Online

Join me for an hour of underglazing techniques! I'll start out with a short collection of images of my work with a focus on the surface details, and then we'll move into the brushwork. I'll demonstrate how I build up the surfaces of my sculptures from start to finish, moving from color blocking to the tiny, finishing details. 

What I'll show you:
My favorite brushes and how I use them
Choosing my palette based on the desired concept or emotion
Color blocking
Shading with hues
How I create small scale details (flowers, birds, etc.)

For those of you that want a little something extra, Sunday is your day! This two hour demonstration includes a more in-depth artist talk as well as a few extra special tutorials.

All of the demonstration highlights listed in Saturday's workshop, plus an additional full demonstration on painting an eye.
